Remaining in the elite in Sri Lanka, the Firs has some really interesting back stories dangling from the gone days to the present. Firs Belongs to the family of the first Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, this quaint little cottage with a green garden used to be his summer hangout. The rooms are named after the original owner’s and the Prime Minister’s family names. Firs still carries forward the holidaying like it used to be in the past, the colonial furniture and thick walled cottage is still warm and nice with the antique interior. Firs has working fire places, and a good living space all in pastel shades. The 6 roomed cottage can accommodate up to 15 guests and among the many photos that are hug in the house, a story of how it had been can easily be read. The menu is colonial, elegant and simple while being freshly made. Other than hanging out in the garden well-manicured, for an evening of fresh Ceylon tea a guest can either play a round of billiard or snooker. The bungalow is with butlers for you to give a very personalized service.
