Today morning after breakfast you can meet your host for the Forgotten Colombo city Walk and like listening to a story he will take you through the cultural and timeless facades the city had to go through. Interesting little stories and legends plus living breathing examples of how this city formed to be what it is now. At the end of the walk you can grab a chilled beer at one of Colombo’s oldest classic hotels looking over the harbor. Back at the hotel you can wash away the grim from the walk, catch up on the city and maybe have a relaxed afternoon. In the evening you have the option of check in to the prominent restaurant Ministry of crab for their seafood delicacies specially their crab based cuisine. Today after breakfast spend the day at leisure you can stumble upon plethora of shopping centers modern and old that gives you a choice to shop along the day, for a different experience hop on a tuk and take a drive to the famous beach spot the Galle Face. By the evening you can select from two experiences we have lined up for you, either go on a street food experience or hop by Colombo’s dodgy bars. Both these experiences are hosted experiences and brings out the local living of Colombo. Street food experience will expose you to an array of street food cooked while you wait and a bright lit street with a cross section of city’s people. Dodgy bars on the other hand will take you on a hosted walk around societal level dodgiest bars of Colombo with your host, in this you will experience local spirits and tapas and once again real spirited people. Both these experiences are designed as a cross section to real Colombo living so as with any such experience ultimate comforts and prompt standards cannot be expected.

Today morning you will transfer to Negombo, a town few kilometers away from the Bandaranaike International Airport. This is a beach destination that Sri Lanka has to boast about. A popular beach destination among the tourists, the city also has its amount of luxuries and hotels and is well equipped to accommodate tourists.

Being mostly a catholic town influence by Portuguese ruling during the colonial times, Negombo has a lot of Colonial time churches adding color to the ethnicities that they call home. Commercial city as per say Negombo also has fishing and fisherman as a highlight of the city. Don’t forget to go to fish markets in the morning to witness the fish trading happening live with the boats coming aboard at dawn.

Take the island sun to the full, get burnt and spend a long day by the sun loungers or spend a day by the poolside catching up on your favorite reading. You can also take a dip at the hotel’s pool or just take a day time nap.
