In the heart of Colombo, and a step away from the popular Beira lake the Taru Villas, popular boutique villa collection has its Colombo escape. Furnished plush and modern with a very comfortable and plush touch, Lake Lodge is decorated in the same way to bring the same country feel. With stone floored and flowers kept to make the homely feel, the lodge makes it a great spot to either start or end your Sri Lanka vacation. There are 13 rooms in two floors and as for all of Taru properties the homeliness is more or less preserved in here. Tagging along with the main house concept the restaurant of Taru Villas is decorated with rattan and cushion chairs and simple furniture, the cuisine at the hotel is more towards fusion Sri Lankan. With sandwiches, crumbed prawns and even homemade ice creams making an entrance in the menu. There’s no pool here, but Colombo has so much to offer just hissing and buzzing around the lodge.
