Located on the northern edge of the Kochchipathana, the other state forest bordering Yala National Park’s Katagamuwa sanctuary, Ceylon Wild Safaris is a luxury campsite with 6 tents built above a step from the ground. These fabric tents are filled with holiday maker’s comforts with a bathroom detached from the main tent and a plunge pool at the drop end ensuring you a peaceful dip at privacy. This concept is a project of three passionate wildlife personnel who have collected their stories from jungles around the country and also in South Africa. They are willing to share these interesting stories with you seated around the campfire the guest gets at the end of a busy day after a safari spotting wild animal, or better yet star gazing to the clear skies over Yala National park, where the guides will point at the stars and tell tales about constellations. CWS is not your ordinary wildlife holiday, the camp occupying only 2 acres is sitting in the middle of 18 acres land which the team is reforesting with the conservation efforts. The lake at the edge of the camp gives you paint stroke worth sunsets, and the cuisine is local favorites sourced from and about the camp ensuring you goodness. Do not forget to take all good camera equipment with you for you will be seeing a lot more than just leopards in the guiding of these rangers. Being great wildlife photographers, the rangers will help you out with best shots and back at the camp’s creative hub, you can get along with the team to clear out the captures plus take them back professionally printed. The sweet ride where you take the jungles on is a 1982 Land Cruiser, modified for best of photography angles plus best of viewing angles while on safari.
