Kitulagala is most famous for being the filming site of the famous film Bridge Over the River Kwai. Rafting or kayaking (white water or flat water) is a fantastic activity for families and travellers with an adventurous spirit. Come to the exciting rapids and get bounced around! The rafting waters in here are white popping and told to be some of the best around Asia. In an inflatable boat while being equipped well with the prime safety equipment including vests and helmets to protect you from high tides. The flowing waters from the mountains flowing into rapids in these terrains makes these tides white bubbles, and that adrenaline rush to keep yourself away from falling to water is what makes this sport adventurous. Rafting through the boulders and rocks creates grade 2 to 3+ rapids. The actual run takes about 1 ½ hours to 2 hours (depending on how much time you want to spend in the water) to complete, with encounters of grade 2 to 3+ rapids, bearing unique names such as Butter Crunch, Killer Falls, Head Chopper and Virgin’s Breast.
